Nuremberg - Main Market - "Hauptmarkt": The Hauptmarkt (main market) Square is the setting for the traditional, world-famous Christkindlesmarkt (Christmas Market) that takes place every year from the Friday before the first Sunday of Advent. Up until 1349 this was the site of the first Jewish ghetto in Nuremberg, which was torn down during a pogrom.
